How to find out if someone has blocked you on Instagram: 7 methods
Suspect that someone you've recently argued with has blocked you on Instagram? Instagram, by default, does not allow you to see a list of people who have blocked you. In fact, the platform won't even notify you when someone has blocked you.
Why someone can block you on Instagram
People may block you on Instagram for several reasons, including:
- Spamming their messages.
- Tagging them in irrelevant posts.
- Leaving inappropriate comments on their content.
If you have broken off a real friendship or relationship, the other person may also have blocked you so they can move on.
Have I been blocked on Instagram?
So how do you find out if someone you know has blocked you on Instagram? Here are seven methods you can try.
1. search for their username

If the profile does not appear in the search, it means that the person has deactivated his account or blocked you.
Remember, however, that people can change their usernames on Instagram. So there is a possibility that the person you are looking for did this instead.
2. search your profile
If you are blocked, you cannot comment on that person's post or send direct messages to that person. However, your previous comments and conversations do not disappear. So if you remember commenting on one of their posts or chatting via DM, open it and go to their profile.
If you see their profile without recent posts, you have probably been blocked. Since you can find out if someone has changed their username this way, you will definitely be blocked if the changed name does not appear in the search bar.
3. use a unique link to your profile on Instagram
When you create an account on Instagram, you get a unique URL that includes your username.
By replacing the username in the profile link with the name of the account of the person you suspect she has blocked, you should move to her account - if one exists.
If you open Instagram in your browser and search for their profile with a direct link, you will see their profile directly or a message: "Sorry, this page is unavailable."
To confirm whether the account exists, log out of Instagram and search for the same URL in a new tab. You will see the same message if the account is deactivated. However, if you see their profile this time, it means they have blocked you.
When someone changes their username, the URL name automatically changes as well. So if they have recently changed their username, this method will not help you locate their profile.
